First, a big thanks to jeepguy and everyone else (Vindes was it?) I've seen referenced in the RB1 in motion hack work. I applied it to an AG disk last year and have been enjoying it ever since!
On to my issue. I had to send my RB1 to United Radio for repair (LCD took a hit when hauling and cracked the screen). I got it back and popped my AG version in motion hack disk in without thinking and it did not give me the disk read error, but it looked like it was updating firmware. When it got done and I went to the map screen, the entire map was black. Just the "North" indicator, position indicator, trail option, etc were visible. Going to the radio mode, the entire screen was there. I noticed then that if I turn the dash lights up as bright as possible I could get the map to display, but it was blindingly bright (I was doing this at night).
Upon further testing, I noticed that if I turned the car on and was sitting I could dim the map display. As soon as I started moving, the map would turn black so I couldn't see any roads...again UNLESS I turn the dash up as bright as possible. Even then that doesn't always work. I've also noticed that at night (or during the day) the display colors are variations of green. At night when I turn the brightness of the dash down 1 notch or more from brightest, the display changes to blue with grey (if I remember correctly). What gives? It never changed colors before. Can anybody shed any light on this? I'm trying to find my original AG disk so I can try to revert the hack and go back to an earlier nav disk and firmware to see if the map issue stays (if anybody can send me the original main.apn or rollback version of the main.apn that would be fantastic in case I can't find my original! Bought a house last year so it's probably packed up in some obscure box somewhere).
Any ideas?? It's almost like United Radio upgraded something in the radio and it's trying to disable the in motion hack since I only have the problem when in motion...
Thanks guys!
Aaron
