Problem resolved.  I'm now able to successfully burn the AE IN-Motion Navi Hacked disc.

If anyone needs a copy of the AE In-Motion Hacked navigation disc, PM me on this site.

I finally had some time to try this hack over the weekend for my 06 300C, and it worked perfectly on the 1st attempt.  Thanks to everyone that spent time experimenting with it.  This method is probably the cheapest(all freeware and a single layer disc), so here are the details if anyone is interested.  This is for people that already have an AE disc installed.

-follow the instructions in the first post exactly thru step 7 then continue to step 8 below
8)Delete the largest file "U0001_02.BAS" which is ~3.8GB so everything will fit on a single layer disc
9)Create an image using Folder2iso with the remaining files http://www.trustfm.net/divx/SoftwareFolder2Iso.html
-folder2iso only gives the option to add a label and select the character set, so enter a label if you want and use the iso8859-1 charset
-the ouput iso file can be named whatever you choose, i simply used "AE.iso"
10)Burn the iso to a single layer disc using DVD Decrypter http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk/ with the following settings
-Mode > ISO > Write
-Tools > Settings...
-Under the General Tab, set File System to Parse to "UDF"
-Under the ISO Write Mode Tab, set Write Mode to DVD and Write Type to SAO
-Burn at 2.4X (I used Verbatim +R that was manufactured in 2002 in Singapore that has been sitting around in my desk...the drive is also ancient, a Plextor PX-504A 4Xmax)

Inserted disc into navi
Navi went through the update routine and hung on the "Loading" screen because of the deleted file
Replaced disc with the original AE disc and everything loaded normally

Now I can use all menus while in motion Smiley

Hope this helps someone that hesitates due to lack of software or DL discs.

Thanks Vindes

Can't say thanks enough, directions worked flawlessly. Once I got a new DL burner, my old one would not make dvd the nav could read.

I've read pages and pages on this topic and my head is about to explode.  So, would someone be so kind as to help a newbie?
I've got a 05 Grand Cherokee and the nav disc has never been updated since I bought it.  It says 05064033AC on it which I assume makes it an AC disc.

I want to disable the in motion limitation.  Do I need to buy a current disc and then run the hack or can I do it from the disc that I have?

Thanks in advance and I'm incredibly impressed with the level of knowledge on this forum!

I assume that you have the RB1 unit in the Van.  If so, the in motion hack is still in debate on the RB1, it was made for the newer REC unit.

I found a complete ISO rip that is not hacked. It works perfect for me burnt to a Verbatim +R DL DVD. I found this site earlier to make this work & I would like to say thanks for the information. Here's the links.

I've got a REC unit.  I've 2 days into a bit torrent DL of the AE files and still at only 25%.  I don't know if they're hacked or not.  Is there a way to tell?

I'm not sure how to tell but I had the same problem with a torrent D/L - it wouldn't work. If you have a fast connection, you can D/L all of these in about an hour on Rapidshare for about $6 with a 48 hr premium account. Or you can do 3 a day for free. I'm using this in my wife's Pacifica with no problems.  Grin

Those look like RB files and I have a REC.  Not sure if they'll work...

This is the description that came with it. Sorry I didn't include this before. It was my understanding that the disks are interchangeable.

"GPS Navigation DVD for Chrysler,Dodge, Jeep Vehicles with the RB1, REC Factory GPS Navigation System Radio and Pacifica. Part #05064033AE. Released 9/20/06 covers entire USA and parts of Canada. This version replaces all older versions and contains even more increases in map data section and new subdivisions."

Well, I downloaded the AE software, applied the in-motion patch and loaded it without problem. A week later, the NAV gives me an error saying it cannot read the NAV disk. It actually started working again for a day, then went back to the error. I used a Memorex DVD and I wondered if that could be the problem. Went and bought a 5 pack of Nexxtech DL DVD's and tried again, no luck...in fact my NAV doesn't even recognize that you have entered a DVD with the Nexxtech. Any ideas???

As with others that have posted, I tried several brands with no luck - just made coasters. I bought Verbatim +R DL DVDs & the first one I made is still working after 5 months.
